stay after leaves at night.
Still no promotion.
Easy Money
Upper management
encourages layoffs.
They earn bonuses.
Over Educated
Graduate degree,
published papers and a book.
Still can’t find a job.
Still Have Hope
Taking online course
dreaming of better careers
still push paper
Overworked and Underbilled
The in-house counsel
working a nine to five day,
earns the same amount
Shortchanged
Bosses cutting costs
increases our workload
without more pay.
Low Hourly Wages
Overtime seemed great,
Staying late earned double time;
But still can’t pay bills.
Should Have Declined
Hard work, long hours,
I’m given a promotion:
More work for same pay.
Over Time
Ninety hour weeks,
Manager denies time off.
Simply want to die.

Holiday Party:
Weak drinks, bad karaoke
Rather have bonus.
